The Pumpkin Patch is a cracking little dwarf tarantula from Colombia, with a gorgeous black and orange pattern that looks exactly like its name suggests.
The small form stays around 5–7cm in adult leg span, making it a great option if you’re after something that doesn’t need loads of space. They’re fast growers and enthusiastic webbers, with plenty of personality packed into a very small spider.
Keep them around 20–26°C, with humidity around 70–80%. They appreciate slightly moist substrate, a water dish and good ventilation, along with enough substrate to burrow and plenty of anchor points for webbing.
They’re generally not aggressive, but can be very fast and skittish when disturbed, so care is needed when working in the enclosure.
A brilliant little dwarf for anyone who wants a colourful, active and seriously impressive webber without needing a massive setup.
